Introduction

Introduction

Overview of the Department

The Department of Computer and Communication Engineering (CCE), located in First Campus, offers a four-year bachelor’s program since 1995, a master’s program since 1998, and a doctoral program since 2001 in Computer and Communication Engineering.

In response to the demand for advanced industrial professionals in information and communications engineering, the CCE Department provides a wide range of courses from the first-year undergraduate level to graduate studies, covering major areas of computer and communication engineering. The department also maintains active research programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Established in 1995, the CCE Department has gone through the stages of National Institute of Technology at Kaohsiung and National Kaohsiung First University of Science and Technology. On February 1, 2018, three universities merged to form National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology (NKUST). The CCE Department is currently under the College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
